Strawberry Fuego Protein Oatmeal
Again, I bring you another easy recipe! Oatmeal can be a breakfast food, or it can be a good snack when you don’t want to eat a full meal. It’s also extremely easy to make as long as you watch it while it’s in the microwave.
Here’s what you’ll need:
1 cup of Quaker Old-Fashioned Oatmeal
1 scoop of Fuego Strawberry Coconut Crème Protein
2 cups of water
A microwave safe bowl and a microwave
Mix 1 cup of oatmeal and 1 scoop of protein with 2 cups of water in a deep bowl. Microwave on high for 1-minute intervals. The protein can make the oatmeal foamy, so you can’t microwave it for 3 minutes straight. Stir and microwave for 2 more 1-minute intervals, and if it’s not done yet do one more minute. Let the oatmeal stand for a minute to soak up the water more. Top the oatmeal with your choice of fruit. I chose banana and strawberries, or you could go plain. If your diet allows it, you can also add some sugar or salt. But that’s it!
When I made this, I ended up making it for two people. This is a ridiculous amount of oatmeal, and since this is whole grain with added protein, it’s quite filling. If you make this recipe to its full capacity with no added sugar or fruit, it turns out to be 450 calories, 57g of carbs, 7.5g of fat, and 34g of protein. So, if you’re a normal eater, look at cutting those numbers in half.
I hope you enjoy this recipe. Happy eating!
